My golf journey began at 23 when I shot a 122 in my first round, but I was immediately hooked. Having played three sports in high school and running track in college, I was no stranger to athletic challenges. Determined to be considered a good golfer, I aimed to break 85, and with the help of free lessons from a pro impressed by my driving distance, I achieved that goal within a year. After moving into a new home, my neighbor, a 6 handicap, became my playing partner, and within two years, I was consistently breaking 80. My passion for golf grew as I caddied for a friend on the Orlando Golf Tour and participated in the Charlotte City Amateur and the Charlotte Metro Amateur My lowest career round is 71. These experiences have been crucial to my golf maturation, and I firmly believe that golf is the world's hardest yet most rewarding game.

I really started to understand by 17 years old that I had what it takes to play any course from the tips. (Professional tees) Since then, it’s been history. I’ve made 8 birdies in one round. (Mixture between 2s, 3s, & 4s on Par 3s, 4s, & 5s. 2 eagles in one round. (3s on par 5s) I drive Par 4s that are around 310 - 330 yards in one shot consistently. Been close to thousands of hole in ones in my career. Yet, I still haven’t managed my first. Monté Belk, born on December 1, 1980, in Charlotte, North Carolina, developed a passion for basketball from a young age, playing on makeshift hoops with neighborhood kids and honing his skills. Starting from humble beginnings, he joined a recreational league at 11 and was eventually recruited to an AAU team, which helped him build character, teamwork, and determination. Monté's love for the game led him to embrace teaching it and sharing its unique and transformative power with others.
